Police Investigate Child Falling from Fourth Floor Apartment

For Immediate Release: Monday, March 25, 2013

On March 25, at about 9:11 a.m., Montgomery County Police and Fire/Rescue responded to the 3800 block of Bel Pre Road for the report of a three-year-old girl that had fallen out of an apartment window.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the 3 year-old-girl had fallen out of a fourth story window to the ground below.  She was transported to Holy Cross Hospital for initial treatment and then to Children's Hospital where she remains in serious but stable condition.  Police have determined that two adult family members were home at the time.

As is protocol, detectives from the Family Crimes Division are investigating the circumstances surrounding this event.
