Police Are Buckling Down on Enforcement so Drivers Buckle Up Nighttime Enforcement Ramps Up as Governor Signs New Seat Belt Law

WHAT:  Real-Time Seat Belt Enforcement Accompanied by Media AvailabilityClick It or Ticket campaign event with Montgomery County Police conducting high-visibility seat belt enforcement on the southbound ramp of I-270 and Route 124.

  • Powerful interview opportunity with Captain Thomas Didone of Montgomery County Police whose son was killed as a result of not wearing a seat belt. His tragic story not wearing seat belts.
On May 2, 2013, Governor O’Malley signed Senate Bill 87 which, effective October 1, 2013, will require all passengers of a motor vehicle to wear seat belts.
