Police Release Photos of Damascus Bank Robbery Suspect

on Friday, May 17, at the M&T Bank in Damascus.  Today, detectives are releasing surveillance photos of the suspect and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect.

On May 17 at approximately 12:51 p.m., 5th District officers responded to the M&T Bank located at 9801 Main Street in Damascus for the report of a bank robbery.  Investigation revealed that the suspect entered the bank, approached a teller, and demanded money.  The suspect received an undisclosed amount of cash, placed the money in a plastic bag, and fled from the bank.

The suspect is described as a white male, in his early twenties, approximately 5'10" tall, with a thin build.  He was wearing a red, Aeropostale sweatshirt with the words, "AERO 1987" in white letters.  To conceal his identity, he wore sunglasses, a covering over his face, and a baseball hat.
