Detectives Investigating Sex Assault Burglary in Gaithersburg

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Major Crimes Division - Homicide/Sex Section are investigating a sex assault burglary that occurred on June 12 in Gaithersburg.

On June 12, at approximately 2:50 a.m., 6th District and Gaithersburg officers responded to a residence on Goodport Court for a report of a burglary and a sex assault.

Investigation revealed that the suspect entered the residence through a ground floor window and confronted the female victim. The suspect then sexually assaulted the victim and fled from the residence.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5'6" to 5'7" tall, with a thin build.  He had his face covered with a mask.
