Concern for Missing Silver Spring Man

For Immediate Release: Monday, June 24, 2013

Detectives from the 3^rd District Investigative Section are asking for the public's assistance in locating a 85-year-old man missing from Silver Spring.

Andres Oscar Morales, of the 700 block of Thayer Avenue in Silver Spring, was last seen at 3:15 p.m. today at his residence.  He is operating a metallic blue, 2008 Toyota Highlander, with Maryland tags 37187M2.  The vehicle has a NASA sticker on the right, rear bumper.

Mr. Morales is described as a Hispanic male with a fair complexion.  He is 5’ 5” tall, weighs 170 pounds, and wears glasses.  He has white hair and blue eyes.  He was last seen wearing a tan hat, a short-sleeve shirt, dark pants and caramel colored shoes.  Mr. Morales is known to frequent downtown Silver Spring.

Police and family are concerned for his welfare as he suffers from dementia.
