For Immediate Release: Thursday, June 27, 2013

Detectives from the 5th/6th District Investigative Section are investigating a burglary of a business that occurred on May 30 in Montgomery Village.

On May 31, at approximately 9:37 a.m., 6th District officers responded to Multi Enviros, located at 19110 Montgomery Village Avenue, for a report of a burglary that had occurred earlier.  Investigation revealed that on May 30, at approximately 10:00 p.m., the suspect entered the business by smashing the front door.  The suspect removed a cash register from the business and fled.

During the course of the investigation, it was determined that, after the burglary, the suspect went to the nearby Beer and Wine store and asked the owner of the store for a bandage.  Detectives were able to obtain surveillance video and photos of the suspect from the Beer and Wine store.

Today, detectives are releasing the video and the photos of the suspect (obtained from the Beer and Wine store) and are asking for the public's assistance in identifying the suspect.  Anyone with information regarding the identity of the suspect is asked to contact detectives at 240-773-6237.  Those who wish to remain anonymous may call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477) or leave a Crime Solvers tip here.  Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to an arrest and/or indictment for this felony crime.
