Detectives Ask for Public's Assistance in Locating Missing Bethesda Woman

Detectives from the 2nd District Investigative Section are asking for the public's assistance in locating a woman missing from Bethesda.

Marie Elise Wilfart Tanabe, age 66, of the 5100 block of Allan Terrace in Bethesda, was last seen on Thursday, July 11, 2013 at approximately 7:30 p.m.  She was leaving the Little Falls Swim Club at 5001 Little Falls Drive, in Bethesda.

Ms. Tanabe is described as a white female, 5'5" tall, and weighing approximately 155 pounds.  She has short, blonde hair, brown eyes, and a strong French accent.  She was last seen wearing a burgundy and magenta one-piece swimsuit, some type of skirt, and was carrying a towel.  Ms. Tanabe does not have her purse or any identification with her and is believed to be on foot.

Police and family are concerned for Tanabe's welfare and her mental well-being.
