Police Search for Missing Kensington Man

For Immediate Release: Monday, July 29, 2013

Detectives from the 2nd District Investigative Section are asking for the public's assistance in locating a man missing from the Kensington area.

Leonard "Rob" Stone, age 65, of the 4500 block of Everett Street in Kensington was last seen this morning at approximately 9:30 a.m. at his residence.  He is described as a white male, 5'8" tall, and weighing approximately 155 pounds.  He has gray hair, a gray beard, blue eyes, and he wears rimmed glasses.  Stone was last seen wearing a long-sleeved, navy blue, crew-neck shirt, a white undershirt, and baggy, khaki pants.

Police and family are concerned for Stone's welfare as he suffers from dementia and other medical issues, and he does not have prescribed medications with him.  Stone walks extremely slowly and with a limp, and he may have a cane with him.  He does not normally use public transportation but may be able to do so.  He is believed to have his identification and a small amount of cash with him.

Anyone with information regarding Stone's whereabouts is asked to contact the Montgomery County Police non-emergency number, 301-279-8000.

NOTE:  Stone's age was corrected to 65 (8:41 p.m.).
