Concern for Missing Silver Spring Woman

For Immediate Release: Tuesday, October 15, 2013

Detectives from the 3rd District Investigative Section are asking for the public's assistance in locating a woman missing from Silver Spring.

Elizabeth Jean Harris, age 62, of the 9000 block of Sligo Creek Parkway, was last seen at her residence at approximately 2:00 p.m. on October 12.  Harris is described as a white female, 5'3" tall, and weighing approximately 195 pounds.  She has gray hair and blue eyes.  She was last seen wearing a blue, puffy jacket and blue pants, and she was carrying three duffel bags.

Harris may be operating her white 2004 Toyota Corolla with Maryland registration 1AP3709.

Police and family are concerned for Harris' mental and physical health as she may not be taking her prescribed medications.  Also, Harris has never been away from home and out of contact with her family and friends.
