Missing Silver Spring Man last seen in Beltsville

Detectives from the 4th District Investigative Section are asking for the public's assistance in locating a man missing from Silver Spring.

Glenn Eldon Thornton, age 85, of the 15100 block of Interlachen Drive, was last seen in Beltsville, Maryland at approximately 12:45 p.m. today.  Thornton is described as a white male, 5'9" tall, and weighing approximately 185 pounds.  He has gray hair and was last seen wearing a tan jacket and a tan USMC baseball cap.

He is operating a 2007 Ford F-150 pickup truck with an extended cab and a cap over the bed.  The truck has Maryland registration 683314.  Mr. Thornton and the truck were last seen in the 12300 block of Kiln Court in Beltsville.

Police and family are concerned for Thornton's welfare as he suffers from short term memory loss and a heart ailment.
