Attempted Robbery at Cabin John CVS

For Immediate Release: Wednesday, October 30, 2013

Montgomery County Police-Major Crimes detectives are investigating a commercial armed robbery that occurred at the CVS in the Cabin John Shopping Center.  This morning at approximately 3:51, two suspects entered the CVS store located at 7955 Tuckerman Lane.  The suspects, one displaying a handgun, confronted a store employee and demanded money.  The suspects then ran from the store without obtaining any money.  As the suspects were fleeing, the employee also exited the store.  The suspect with the handgun fired one shot outside the building; no one was struck.

The first suspect, armed with a handgun, is described as a black male in his twenties.  He was wearing a black baseball cap with white insignia, a black hooded sweatshirt with a gray logo, camouflage pants, black tennis shoes, and a fake beard. The second suspect is also described as a black male in his twenties.  He was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and a black ski mask.

Detectives are considering the possibility that these two suspects were involved in the attempted robbery of the Wells Fargo bank that occurred yesterday in Rockville.

Anyone with information about this robbery is asked to call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477) or leave a Crime Solvers tip here.  Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to an arrest and/or indictment for this felony crime.  Tipsters will remain anonymous.
