Detectives from the Montgomery County Police - Major Crimes Division are investigating a homicide that occurred on Wednesday night in the Aspen Hill area of Rockville.

On November 6 at approximately 10:50 p.m., patrol officers from the 4th District were dispatched to a shooting at a residence in the 13400 block of Grenoble Drive.  Officers arrived on the scene to find a 34-year-old male suffering from one or more gunshot wounds.

Preliminary investigation revealed that three men entered the residence by knocking on the front door and then forcing their way inside.  All three men were armed with handguns and, once inside, confronted three adult males.  At some point, there was a struggle with one of the victims and he was shot.  The suspects then left the residence.  Neither of the other two victims was physically harmed.

Patrol officers, with the assistance of the Canine Section, searched the neighborhood but were unable to locate any of the suspects.

The victim is identified as Alexander Benson Buie, age 34, of the 13400 block of Grenoble Drive.  He was transported to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries.

The suspects are described as follows:

#1 - Black male, 20's, 6'0" tall, camouflage pants, curly hair, mustache

#2 - Black male, 20's, dark clothes

#3 - Black male, taller than the others, all black clothes, black bandana on face
