Results of Operation Turkey Chase - Holiday Season Task Force

For Immediate Release: Friday, November 29, 2013

On Wednesday night November 27, the Holiday Season Task Force began operations.  This multi-agency effort focuses on underage drinking and impaired driving.  Specialized enforcement efforts will continue through January 4, 2014.

Sobriety checkpoints, phantom checkpoints, saturation patrols, laser stop teams, and plainclothes operations will all be utilized during this period.

Operation Turkey Chase kicked off the Task Force.  The night before Thanksgiving typically brings an increase in alcohol related calls.

The results of "Operation Turkey Chase" are:

Traffic Stops - 131

DUI Arrests - 13

Traffic Citations Issued - 145

Criminal Arrests/Citations Issued - 6

Provisional License Violations - 3
