Police Ask for Public's Assistance in Locating Missing Silver Spring Woman

For Immediate Release: Sunday, December 22, 2013

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police 3rd District Investigative Section are asking for the public's assistance in locating a woman missing from Silver Spring.

Harmela Yidnekachew Tamre, age 25, of the 12400 block of La Plata Street in Silver Spring was last seen on Sunday, December 22 at approximately 3:00 p.m.  She is described as a black female with long black hair, 5'1" tall and weighing 115 pounds.  She was last seen wearing scrubs (unknown color) and black shoes.

Ms. Tamre is operating a 2000 Toyota Camry, white in color, with Maryland registration 2EFC92.

Police and family members are concerned for her welfare and her mental well-being.

Anyone with information about Ms. Tamre, her vehicle, or her whereabouts is asked to call the Montgomery County Police non-emergency number at 301-279-8000.
