Detectives Ask for Public's Assistance in Locating Missing Silver Spring Man

For Immediate Release: Thursday, December 26, 2013

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police 3rd District Investigative Section are asking for the public's assistance in locating a missing Silver Spring man.

Edwin Alexander Navarrete, age 19, of the 9400 block of Avenel Road in Silver Spring, was last seen at his residence on Thursday, December 26 at approximately 7:50 p.m.

Mr. Navarrete is described as a Hispanic male, 6’2” tall and weighing 240 pounds.  He has dark hair and was last seen wearing a black tee shirt and black sweatpants.

Police and family members are concerned for his welfare because Mr. Navarrete suffers from a mental disorder and is not taking his prescribed medication.
