Detectives Investigate Jewelry Store Theft - Photographs of Suspects Released

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police- 2nd District are investigating the theft of two diamond rings from a jewelry store in North Bethesda.  Today, detectives are releasing photographs of the male and female suspects and are asking for the public's assistance in identifying them.

On December 16 at approximately 2:10 p.m., two suspects, a black male and black female, entered the Masica Diamonds store located at 11763 Rockville Pike.  While the female suspect posed as a customer and distracted the store employee, the male suspect stole two diamond rings from a display case.  The rings have a combined value of over $20,000.

Anyone with information about this crime or the male and/or female in the photographs is asked to call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477).  You will remain anonymous and Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to an arrest and/or indictment for this felony crime.
