Detectives Seek Assistance in Locating Woman Missing from Montgomery Village

For Immediate Release: Saturday, February 22, 2014

Detectives from the 6th District Investigative Section are asking for the public's assistance in locating a woman missing from Montgomery Village.

Rita Cummings, age 70, of the 18200 block of Lost Knife Circle was last seen yesterday at approximately 4:00 p.m. when she left her job in the 2000 block of Connecticut Avenue in Washington, D.C.  She was driving her blue 2012 Subaru Legacy bearing Maryland registration 9AT2765.  Cummings has not yet returned home.

Cummings is described as a white female, 5'0" tall, and weighing approximately 125 pounds.  She has brown eyes and black, medium-length hair.  She was last seen wearing black pants, a black and white striped shirt, and a blue and white jacket.

Police and family are concerned for Cummings' physical and mental well-being.
