Concern for Juvenile Missing from Kensington

For Immediate Release: Thursday, February 27, 2014

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police - Family Crimes Division are asking for the public's assistance in locating a juvenile missing from Kensington.

Shayla Marie Franklin, age 16, of the 11300 block of Connecticut Avenue was last seen on December 17, 2013.  Franklin is described as a black female, 5’05” tall, and weighing 145 pounds.  She has brown eyes and black hair.  Franklin is familiar with public transportation and is known to frequent the District of Columbia.

Police and family are concerned for Franklin's welfare as she has not been seen or heard from since her disappearance.  Additionally, Franklin has a medical condition that needs to be monitored.
