Detectives Investigate Stabbing on Alloway Court

For Immediate Release: Saturday, April 19, 2014

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police - 2nd District Investigative Section are investigating several assaults and stabbings that occurred early this morning outside of a residence in Potomac.

This morning, at approximately 1:10 a.m., 2nd District officers responded to a residence on Alloway Court for a report of a stabbing. Investigation revealed that a party had been held at the residence earlier in the evening. At some point during the party, uninvited guests entered the residence. The party was shut down and all guests were told to leave.

Many guests then congregated outside of the residence, and several assaults were believed to have occurred within the group. Upon police arrival, no victims were located as other partygoers had already taken the injured persons to local hospitals.

At approximately 1:46 a.m., police received a call from a local hospital reporting that a stabbing victim had come into the emergency room. Upon responding to the hospital, officers discovered two victims - a 20-year-old male suffering from a stab wound and an 18-year-old male suffering from injuries to his face and torso.

At approximately 2:11 a.m., police in a neighboring jurisdiction received a report from a local hospital that a stabbing victim had come into the emergency room there. Police responded and located a 15-year-old male suffering from a stab wound.

Further investigation by officers revealed that the three above victims had been at the party on Alloway Court and were injured at that location.

At this time, the 20-year-old and the 18-year-old have been treated and released from the hospital; the 15-year-old is still hospitalized and receiving treatment for his injuries.

Detectives made contact with all three victims, but a suspect has not been identified. Detectives are still unsure whether the same suspect(s) are responsible for all three victims' injuries.

After locating the three victims, officers returned to the residence on Alloway Court and were able to recover evidence related to the assaults and stabbings. A weapon was located near the residence, but it is still unclear if the weapon that was recovered is the weapon that was used in the assaults.

Detectives are continuing to investigate this incident. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact 2nd District detectives at 240-773-6710.
