Concern for Silver Spring Man Missing from Rockville

For Immediate Release: Tuesday, June 24, 2014

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police - 1st District Investigative Section are asking for the public's assistance in locating a man missing from Rockville.

Samuel Vincent Benson, age 65, is missing from the Jewish Council for Aging (day care program) located at 12320 Parklawn Drive in Rockville.  Benson's permanent residence is in the 700 block of Cornwall Street in Silver Spring.

Benson is described as a black male, 5'10" tall, and weighing approximately 167 pounds.  He has brown eyes and short, black, curly hair.  He was last seen wearing a light beige, short-sleeve, button-down shirt and matching beige pants.  He is also wearing a Medic Alert safe return bracelet.

Police and family are concerned for Benson's physical and mental well-being.  He is prescribed medications that he has not taken today.
