Police Investigate Fatal Motorcycle Collision in Silver Spring

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department- Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU) continue to investigate a fatal motorcycle collision that occurred yesterday in Silver Spring.

Yesterday at approximately 5:04 p.m., officers responded to the intersection of University Boulevard West and Dennis Avenue for the report of a motorcycle collision.

Preliminary investigation has revealed that a 2003 Yamaha motorcycle was traveling east on University Boulevard West.  For reasons still under investigation, the motorcycle struck the curb on the right side of the roadway.  The driver was ejected from the motorcycle.  He was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.  There was no one else on the motorcycle.

The driver is being identified as Kyle Brett Faulkner, age 43, of the 4300 block of Maple Place in Beltsville, Maryland.
