Advisory: Maintenance of County Phone System Will Affect District Stations and Animal Services Division with Intermittent Outages for 4 Hours – Will NOT Affect 911, 311, Police Non-Emergency Number, Crisis Center

For Immediate Release: Thursday, July 10, 2014

The County telephone system serving extensions (240) 777 and (240) 773 will experience outages required for a maintenance upgrade beginning at 10:00 p.m. on Friday, July 11 until 2:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 12.

The outages will be intermittent during these four hours and will affect both inbound and outbound calls.

WHEN: 10:00 p.m. Friday 07/11/14 until 2:00 a.m. Saturday 07/12/14

SERVICES AFFECTED: Inbound/ outbound calls to and from County exchanges (240) 777 and (240) 773. This includes calls to police district stations, the Animal Services Division, and some investigative unit numbers. Callers may call 301-279-8000 (the police non-emergency number) if they experience difficulty contacting a station or investigative unit during these four hours of maintenance.

SERVICES NOT AFFECTED: Inbound calls to 911, 311, Police-Non-Emergency Number (301-279-8000), DHHS Crisis Center
