Detectives from the Montgomery County Police – Major Crimes Division are investigating a bank robbery that occurred last week in Bethesda.
On August 7 at approximately 1:52 p.m., 2nd District officers responded to the M&T Bank branch located at 7920 Norfolk Avenue in Bethesda for a report of a bank robbery. Investigation revealed that the suspect entered the bank, approached the teller, made threats and requested money. A weapon was not seen. The suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of cash and fled from the bank.
Today, detectives are releasing photographs of the suspect in this bank robbery and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying him.
