For Immediate Release: Friday, August 15, 2014

The Montgomery County Police Department - 4th District Petty Crime Unit continues to investigate multiple cases of vehicle vandalism that class="alignright wp-image-26836 size-medium" src="https://www.montgomerycountymd.gov/PortalImages/InfoCentral/PressRelease/29/2014/Olneyvandalism-300x228.jpg" alt="Olneyvandalism" width="300" height="228" />occurred in the Olney area during the hours of approximately 11:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 9 and 5:00 a.m. on Sunday, August 10.  Officers have identified over 50 victims; some victims had more than one vehicle vandalized.

A burglary occurred at a residence in the 3800 block of Terrawood Court on Sunday, August 10 at approximately 2:22 a.m.  Although it is unknown if this burglary is related to the vandalisms in the area, detectives are looking into the possibility that the crimes were committed by the same people.

Surveillance cameras at a victim's residence captured the vandalism suspects and their vehicle at approximately 2:04 a.m. on Sunday, August 10.  It appears that multiple suspects were involved in the vandalism and that in this video, two males approached the victim's vehicle and committed the vandalism.  Detectives are releasing the video to the public (link below) and are hoping that someone can identify these suspects.

Anyone with information about the suspects involved in these incidents is asked to call the 4th District Petty Crimes Unit at 240-773-5475.  Callers may remain anonymous.
