Detectives from the 4th District are asking for the public's assistance in locating a missing 67-year-old woman who has Alzheimer’s disease. She is missing from a neighborhood in the Spencerville/Good Hope area of the county.
On Sunday, September 7, at approximately 9:30 p.m., family members and Norma Gillespie had returned from an outing and had parked in the driveway of their residence in the 15300 block of Aylesburry Street. Ms. Gillespie does not live at this address but is here visiting family. After entering their home, family realized that Ms. Gillespie had not come in from the car. They looked for her in the area and then called police.
Ms. Gillespie is described as a 67-year-old black female, 5' 4" tall and 135 pounds. She was last seen wearing a red and white sleeveless dress, black, open-toe shoes, and may have a black purse. She has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, is from New York, and is not familiar with the area.
