Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department-2nd District Investigative Section are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing Kensington woman.

Police are concerned for the welfare of Shantol Ramela Anderson, age 18, of the 4100 block of Plyers Mill Road in Kensington. Shantol Anderson is described as a black female, approximately 5’05? tall, 123 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen leaving her residence and getting into the vehicle of an acquaintance unknown to her family on Friday, September 12 at approximately 7:28 p.m. She was reported missing by her family on the evening of September 15.

Although Shantol Anderson is 18-years-old, she functions at the level of a 12-year-old.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Shantol Anderson is asked to call the police non-emergency number at 301-279-8000 (24 hour line).
