Detective Investigating Indecent Exposure in Derwood-Photo of Suspect Released

For Immediate Release: Thursday, October 2, 2014

On August 28 at approximately 3:18 pm, officers responded to the 8100 block of Needwood Road for the report of an indecent exposure that had just occurred.  It was determined that the adult female victim had been seated next to the window on a Ride-On bus with the suspect seated next to her.  The victim observed the suspect exposing himself and inappropriately touching himself.  The victim immediately got up from the seat and told the bus driver who contacted police.  While police were responding to the area, the suspect exited the bus and was last seen southbound on Redland Road towards the Shady Grove Metro Station.

The suspect is described as a light-skinned black male, approximately 6'00" tall, 245 pounds, with brown eyes, very short black hair, a black mustache and goatee with facial stubble.  He was last seen wearing black cargo shorts, black and white shoes, a gray shirt, black baseball cap, and was carrying a red and white backpack.
