Concern for Missing Bethesda Man

For Immediate Release: Thursday, October 9, 2014

Detectives from the 2nd District Investigative Section are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing Bethesda man.

Herbert Jasper was last seen in the 4900 block of Sentinel Drive in Bethesda at approximately 11:30 am on October 9, 2014. He was driving a dark blue 2007 Toyota Camry with Maryland license plate 5DKK17. He was supposed to have a doctor’s appointment in the 10200 block of Fernwood Drive but did not make his appointment. He may be headed to the 1600 block of K Street in Washington, DC.

Herbert Jasper is an 86 year-old white male, 5’07” tall, weighing 135 pounds. He has light brown hair with a bald spot on top. He was wearing a navy blue jacket and tan pants. Jasper walks with a cane and has dementia.

Police and family are concerned for his physical and mental welfare. Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to call the Montgomery County Police non-emergency number at 301-279-8000.
