Concern for Missing Rockville Woman

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department-4th District Investigative Section are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing Rockville woman.

Police are concerned for the emotional and physical welfare of Tonya Simms, age 45, of the 14200 block of Chadwick Lane in Rockville.  She was last seen yesterday at approximately 1:30 p.m. when she left her group home and told other residents that she was going to go for a walk.

Tonya Simms is described as a black female, 5’ 4” tall, and weighs approximately 181 pounds.  She has short black hair and brown eyes.  She was last seen wearing black pants, a red sweater, a blue hooded jacket, and black sneakers.

Tonya Simms has a diminished mental capacity.  She is familiar with public transportation and frequents shops in the Aspen Hill area.
