Detectives from the Montgomery County Police – Collision Reconstruction Unit are investigating a fatal collision that occurred this morning in Montgomery County.
At approximately 4:57 a.m., 4th District officers and Fire Rescue personnel responded to the intersection of New Hampshire Avenue and Randolph Road for a report of a personal injury collision involving a pedestrian and a passenger vehicle.
Investigation revealed that the pedestrian was crossing on New Hampshire Avenue from west to the east when he was struck by a vehicle traveling southbound on New Hampshire Avenue. The pedestrian, an adult male, was transported to Suburban Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The identity of the pedestrian and driver will be released after next of kin are notified.
