UPDATE: Collision on Democracy Boulevard Now Fatal

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department-Collision Reconstruction Unit continue to investigate a fatal three vehicle collision.

The passenger of the Toyota Camry, identified as Betty Nelson, age 88, of the 1900 block of Frontage Road in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, succumbed to her injuries.  The collision has now been reclassified as fatal.

On November 29 at approximately 11:34 a.m., Montgomery County Police responded to a collision on Democracy Boulevard at the ramp from southbound I-270 involving a 2004 Toyota Camry, a 2012 Ford F250 (owned by Montgomery County Government), and a 2008 Mercedes. Montgomery County Fire Rescue transported all persons involved in the collision to a local hospital. One of the passengers of the Toyota Camry, an 88 year old female, had life threatening injuries. All others involved had non-life threatening injuries.

This collision remains under investigation. Detectives are looking into the traffic light cycle at the time of the incident. Any witnesses are urged to contact the Collision Reconstruction Unit at 240-773-6620.
