Detectives Investigating Death in Layhill Area of Silver Spring

For Immediate Release: Saturday, December 6, 2014

Detectives from Montgomery County Police’s Major Crimes-Homicide Division are investigating a death that was discovered in the morning of December 6th in the 2300 block of Eagle Rock Place in the Layhill Area of Silver Spring.

At 10:47 a.m. Emergency Communications Center received a call for a burglary with an adult male injured in the 2300 block of Eagle Rock Place. Units responded and found a deceased 26 year old male within the residence with obvious trauma to the top portion of his body. The decedent was found by his mother, both of whom reside at that address.

Detectives are treating this death as a homicide.

This is a active and ongoing investigation. As more details are available, they will be released.
