Police Investigate Hate Incident in Chevy Chase

For Immediate Release: Monday, January 19, 2015

Montgomery County Police- 2nd District Officers are investigating a hate incident that occurred at a residence in the 3300 block of Glenmoor Drive in Chevy Chase; a racial epithet was spray painted on the home's garage door.

This morning at approximately 9:30 a.m., a neighbor noticed racial wording that had been spray painted on the victim's garage door.  The neighbor notified the victim and assisted the victim in removing the spray paint.

This event is believed to have occurred sometime between 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 18 and this morning (Monday, January 19) at approximately 7:00 a.m.  The Department has not received any additional reports of vandalism/malicious destruction from neighborhood residents.
