Update: Police Continue to Investigate Homicide

For Immediate Release: Sunday, January 25, 2015

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police- Major Crimes Division continue to investigate the homicide of an adult male in the Bel Pre area.

At approximately 12:35 a.m. on Sunday, January 25, the Emergency Communications Center (9-1-1) received a call from a passerby who reported that a person appeared to be slumped over the wheel of a vehicle that was parked in an apartment complex lot located at Whispering Pines Drive and Weeping Willow Court.

Officers and Fire & Rescue personnel responded to the area and located a deceased adult male in the driver's seat of a vehicle; he appeared to have been shot.

The victim has been identified as Wei Wu, age 46, of the 400 block of K Street NW in Washington, D.C. The Medical Examiner has ruled that the cause of death is multiple gunshot wounds and that the manner of death is homicide.
