For Immediate Release: Wednesday, February 11, 2015

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police-Collision Reconstruction Unit have concluded their investigation of the fatal collision involving a bicyclist and a motor vehicle that occurred on November 24, 2014.

On February 5, based upon that investigation, the driver of the Ford truck, identified as John Kline of Hagerstown, was charged with:

  1. Failure to yield to oncoming traffic on a left turn
  2. Negligent driving.

It was on November 24, 2014, at approximately 9:45 a.m., that officers and Fire/Rescue personnel responded to the 12100 block of Darnestown Road for a bicyclist struck by a vehicle.
