Colesville Homicide Victim Now Being Identified

Montgomery County Police-Major Crimes Division continues to investigate a homicide that was discovered yesterday in Colesville at approximately 12:30 p.m. in the 500 block of Randolph Road.

The victim is being identified as Dan Belvin, a retired Naval officer, age 95, of the 500 block of Randolph Road.  He was found with trauma to the upper body.

Police were called to the scene after a concerned friend related that they had not heard from the victim. The building property manager checked the apartment, found the resident deceased, and called 9-1-1. Responding 4th District Patrol officers found the circumstances to be suspicious.
