Detectives from the 3rd District Investigative Section are asking for the public's assistance in locating a missing 80-year-old woman who has dementia.

Dorothy Hill left her assisted living residence (located in the 8500 block of Springvale Road in Silver Spring) today at approximately 3:30 p.m. She was on foot at the time but it is possible that she may have entered a cab.

Dorothy Hill is described as a black female, approximately 5’5” tall, and weighs 120 pounds. She has short gray hair, hazel eyes, and wears glasses. She was last seen wearing a brown coat and gray scary and was carrying a red bag (refer to the photo of Ms. Hill that was taken today).

Ms. Hill may be attempting to travel to the 1800 block of Maryland Ave NE in Washington DC.

Anyone with any information regarding Ms. Hill’s whereabouts is asked to call the Montgomery County Police Department immediately at 301-279-8000 (24 hour line).
