Detectives Investigate Credit Card Fraud in Bethesda

For Immediate Release: Wednesday, March 18, 2015

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department-2nd District Investigative Section are investigating a credit card fraud case which occurred in Bethesda.

On February 12, 2015, the victim was notified of fraudulent activity on her credit card. The victim was still in possession of the card and was uncertain how the card number was being used to make purchases.

Through investigation it was learned that the credit card had been cloned and used at a Safeway locations in Bethesda, MD.

Detectives are now releasing a photo of the suspect who used the cloned cards.  Anyone with information about this crime or the suspect is asked to contact the 2nd District Investigative Section at 240-773-6726. Callers may remain anonymous.
