Detectives Investigating Rockville Child Abuse

For Immediate Release: Friday, March 27, 2015

Detectives from Montgomery County Police-Special Victims Investigations Division have been investigating a child abuse case that occurred in Rockville.

On January 5, officers from the 4^th District and Montgomery County Fire-Rescue Personnel responded to 5402 Parkvale Terrace in Rockville for a baby who was not breathing.  The baby was being cared for by My Angel and Me Daycare run by Ana Valentin.  The baby was transported to Children’s Hospital for treatment.  According to medical personnel, injuries consistent with child abuse were evident.

On March 18, Ana Valentin was arrested charged with first degree and second degree child abuse.  She has posted a bond and is awaiting a preliminary hearing date.
