Concern For Missing Bethesda Woman

For Immediate Release: Monday, April 27, 2015

Detectives from the 2nd District Investigative Section are asking for the public's assistance in locating a missing 95-year-old woman.

Gertrude Marion Haugan, of the 4700 block of South Chelsea Lane in Bethesda, was last seen on Wednesday, April 22.  Ms. Haugan is described as a white female, 5’ 2” tall, and weighing 110 pounds.  She has light brown hair.  It is not known what clothing Ms. Haugan was wearing at the time of disappearance.

Ms. Haugan's vehicle was located last night a short distance from her home in an alley off of 7413 Maple Avenue.  It was recovered by police and is described as a blue 1996 Toyota Camry with Maryland tags, DVG 064.

Family, friends, and police are concerned for her welfare because it is unusual for Ms. Haugan not to have regular contact with friends and neighbors.  Anyone with any information regarding the whereabouts of Gertrude Marion Haugan is asked to contact the Montgomery County Police at 301-279-8000.
