PLEASE READ UPDATE: MAN IDENTIFIED

11:04 p.m. - The man has been identified and is being reunited with family. Thank you for sharing!

The Montgomery County Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in identifying a male who was located by officers this evening in Montgomery Village.  The male's name and where he lives is unknown; he appears to have a developmental disability.

Tonight at approximately 6:08 p.m., officers responded to Christopher Avenue and Hellingly Place in Montgomery Village after a concerned resident called 9-1-1 about a man who appeared to need assistance.  Officers responded to that area and located an Asian male who is approximately 25 to 30 years old, 5'10" tall, 170 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes, and who is wearing a blue "Just Do It" Nike t-shirt, khaki pants, and sandals.  The male only speaks Mandarin (Chinese).  His name may be Jiawei Lin or Lin.  Officers have not been able to determine where he lives.

The Department is asking anyone who may have information about the identity of this male to please call 9-1-1 immediately so that he may be reunited with family/friends.
