Motorcycle Collision Now Fatal

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police-Collision Reconstruction Unit continue to investigate a personal injury collision involving a motorcycle that occurred on Saturday, May 9; the collision is now fatal.

On May 9 at approximately 9:03 p.m., officers responded to the intersection of Randolph Road and Bushey Drive for the report of a collision.

Preliminary investigation indicates that a 2005 Ford F-150 pickup truck was traveling south on Bushey Drive. A 2002 Yamaha motorcycle was traveling west on Randolph Road.  The Ford F-150 attempted to cross Randolph Road and collided with the motorcycle in the intersection. The motorcycle driver, Thomas Steven Rose, age 59,  of the 11300 block of Cloverhill Drive in Silver Spring, was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.  Rose succumbed to his injuries on May 23.

The driver of the pickup truck is identified as Mario Evert Carrasco Gonzales, age 43, of the 3900 block of Ilford Road in Silver Spring.
