For Immediate Release: Friday, July 10, 2015

Detectives from the 3rd District Patrol Investigative Section are asking for the public’s help to identify a suspect who has been stealing items from cars in the parking lot of the Burtonsville Volunteer Fire Department.

The thefts to the volunteer firefighters and EMTs of the Burtonsville Volunteer Fire Department, located at 13900 Old Columbia Pike in Briggs Chaney, occurred between April 18 and June 10.

Detectives obtained surveillance photographs of the male suspect and are asking anyone who may recognize him to please call the 3rd District Patrol Investigative Section at 240-773-6830.

As Montgomery County Police ask for the public’s help to identify this suspect, we want to remind all drivers that they can lessen their chances of being a victim of theft from vehicle by not leaving anything in sight inside of the vehicle and locking vehicle doors.
