Police Investigate Germantown Homicide

For Immediate Release: Wednesday, August 12, 2015

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department-Major Crimes Division continue to investigate a homicide that occurred last night in Germantown.  Detectives believe that the murder is not random and that the suspect and victim knew each other.

On Tuesday, August 11, at approximately 11:25 p.m., the Emergency Communications Center (9-1-1) received a call for a stabbing that had just occurred in the parking lot of the 12900 block of Walnut View Court in Germantown.  Officers responded to the area and located inside a residence an adult male victim with at least one stab wound.  He was transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.  The suspect, described as an adult male, had fled the area.

Preliminary investigation indicates that the suspect and victim were involved in an altercation in the parking lot during which the suspect stabbed the victim.

Major Crimes continue to investigate this homicide.  Anyone with information about this incident or the suspect(s) involved is asked to call the Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5070.
