Concern for Missing Gaithersburg Woman

For Immediate Release: Thursday, August 13, 2015

The Montgomery County Police Department is asking for the public's assistance to locate a missing Gaithersburg woman.

Dong Yoo, age 58, of King James Way in Gaithersburg, was last seen yesterday (August 12) leaving her apartment at approximately 11:00 a.m.  Many days, she walks to Lakeforest Mall (701 Russell Avenue) as part of her routine.  Yesterday, family members presumed that Yoo was leaving her residence to walk to the mall; they became concerned when she did not return last night.  Yoo has a diminished mental capacity and functions at a teenage level.

Yoo is described as an Asian female, 5'4" tall, 140 pounds, with brown hair and eyes.  She was last seen wearing a navy-blue shirt and flowered-pattern pants.

Anyone who sees Yoo or has information on her whereabouts is asked to immediately call 9-1-1.
