Officers from the 5
th District have arrested Randolph Middlebrook, age 32, of the 11200 block of Valley Bend Drive in Germantown, for first degree assault.
On August 18 at approximately 9:15 p.m., 5
th District officers responded to the 11200 block of Valley Bend Drive for a report of domestic violence. The victim had called 9-1-1 and stated that her boyfriend, Middlebrook, had struck her in the head with a firearm. Middlebrook then dragged the victim and physically forced her out of the residence. Her two children, ages two and seven, witnessed the assault and remained in the home.
Officers attempted to make contact with Middlebrook several times without success and determined that he and the children were no longer in the home.
Investigators were able to locate and arrest Middlebrook in the 1800 block of Metzerott Road. The victim’s children were located nearby, safe and unharmed, and reunited with the victim.
Middlebrook has been charged with first degree assault, second degree assault, and reckless endangerment.
