Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department-Major Crimes Division continue to investigate a homicide that occurred last night near the intersection of Veirs Mill and Randolph Roads.
On Sunday, August 30, at approximately 9:12 p.m., the Emergency Communications Center (9-1-1) received a call for an unresponsive male subject in the service lane in front 12232 Veirs Mill Road. Fire and Rescue personnel arrived on the scene and located a Hispanic male victim in his early twenties in the roadway suffering from life-threatening injuries. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Preliminary investigation indicates a road construction crew was working on Veirs Mill Road, called 9-1-1 and the suspects fled the area.
The victim's body will be transported to Baltimore where the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) will conduct an autopsy.
