Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department Major Crimes Division - Robbery Section continue to investigate the September 8 robbery of the Shell gas station located at 10211 Westlake Drive in Bethesda. Today, detectives are releasing store video surveillance and photographs of the three suspects and are asking for the public’s help in identifying them.
At approximately 2:20 a.m. on September 8, the first suspect entered the Shell gas station and posed as a customer. Approximately one minute later, suspects two and three entered the gas station with their faces covered by t-shirts. The second suspect displayed a handgun and ordered the cashier to open the register. The third suspect went behind the counter and removed an undisclosed amount of cash from the register and cigarettes from a display. The three suspects flee from the gas station parking lot towards the area of Democracy Boulevard and Taveshire Way.
Anyone with information regarding the identity of these robbery suspects is asked to contact the Montgomery County Police Major Crimes Division – Robbery Section at 240-773-5070.
