Concern for Missing 80-Year-Old Man with Alzheimers

UPDATE - LOCATED:  A resident located Mr. Fan in the area of Georgia Avenue and University Boulevard West. Mr. Fan was reunited with family.  Police and family thank the public and media for sharing this missing person case.

Detectives from the 2nd District Investigative Section are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing 80-year-old man who has severe Alzheimer’s.

Yenquan Fan, of the 10900 block of Connecticut Avenue in North Kensington was last seen today at approximately 4:00 p.m. when he walked away from his home. Mr. Fan only speaks Chinese Mandarin and does not know his name.

Yenquan Fan is described as an Asian male, approximately 5’6” tall, and weighs 135 pounds. He has black and gray hair and black eyes. He was last seen wearing a grey knit shirt and grey pants. Mr. Fan is also wearing one brown shoe and one black shoe.

Anyone with any information regarding Mr. Fan’s whereabouts is asked to call the Montgomery County Police Department immediately at 301-279-8000.
