Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department - Major Crimes Division are investigating a homicide that occurred last night in Aspen Hill.
On December 9, at approximately 8:24 p.m., the Emergency Communications Center (9-1-1) received a call for an assault that just occurred in the parking lot of the Sunoco gas station located at 14031 Georgia Avenue. Responding officers located two Hispanic male victims in the parking lot, one of whom was suffering from life-threatening injuries. Both victims were transported to an area hospital where one victim succumbed to his injuries. The second victim is listed in serious condition.
Preliminary investigation indicates that, for reasons still under investigation, the suspect(s) assaulted the victims in the parking lot of the gas station and fled from the area after the assault.
The victim’s body will be transported to Baltimore where the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) will conduct an autopsy.
